CODE 9 at Forefront of Monitoring Technology Revolution
At CODE 9 we make it our business to stay abreast of monitoring technology advancements so we are able to provide the very best service and advice to our customers.
Digital alarm monitoring has been the standard in the security alarm monitoring industry for the last 25 years; but with the advent of high speed internet and the move to IP telephony, the industry
is about to go through a major technological revolution. At CODE 9 we are excited about these changes and the opportunities this brings to further improve services for our customers.
IP (Internet Protocol) monitoring and radio monitoring are two of the new standards which will form part of the new generation of monitoring protocols.

Digital Monitoring
Utilizes your existing telephone line (PSTN) as a pathway through which digital information is communicated to a dedicated CODE 9 Receiver.
Each communicator is designed with line grabbing properties meaning that the alarm takes priority over using the telephone when it needs to communicate.
Radio Monitoring
Radio communicators transmit data from your alarm system via a radio frequency pathway in under ¼ second, using 15 watts of power to a dedicated CODE 9 Receiver. Chosen for their high degree of
reliability and their ability to be tamper free, the radio transmitter has the ability to allow both your telephone line (PSTN) and radio communication to be conveyed simultaneously, providing dual path monitoring.
IP Based Monitoring via Radio
Enterprise GPRS Transmitter offers full TCP/IP communication allowing for three different pathways to transmit data from your alarm system to a dedicated CODE 9 Receiver.
Internet Protocol Monitoring
Offers full TCP/IP internet based connection as a pathway through which information from your alarm system is communicated to a dedicated CODE 9 Receiver.
Cellular Monitoring
Cellular units transmit data from your alarm system via the cellular network to a dedicated CODE 9 Receiver. This application can work as an independent pathway or as a secondary pathway to another form of monitoring offering dual monitoring facilities.
Dual Mode Monitoring
Provides two separate pathways for communication between the alarm system and CODE 9s monitoring centre. In the event that your primary pathway fails or is tampered with the secondary pathway communicates the data to a dedicated CODE 9 receiver. This is a fail safe, high level monitoring
service that provides the ultimate in monitoring protection.
CCTV Close Circuit Television Monitoring
Offers full TCP/IP internet based connection as a pathway through which digital images are recorded on site and directed to a dedicated CODE 9 receiver. This application is fully integrated with advanced detection devices, using a mixture of cameras, audio response gear and DVRs.(Digital
Video Recording unit)

SMS GSM Messaging
Provides opportunities to offer diverse services for unique applications where something out of the ordinary is required for the customer. This form of security monitoring works with many security applications as well as the examples set out below.
>> GPS is installed in vehicles Should the vehicle be tampered with the GPS unit sends a signal to CODE 9s monitoring centre via the cellular network. CODE 9 then assesses the vehicles whereabouts via a dedicated GPS IP account. This application is utilized by companies who have
transport vehicles travelling around the country and dont always have secure units for vehicles to be parked during the journey.
>> GPS is installed in vehicles with an application to provide Panic Pendants to the driver of the vehicle. Should the driver press the pendant the GPS unit sends a signal to a CODE 9s monitoring centre via the cellular network. CODE 9 then assesses the vehicles whereabouts via
dedicated GPS IP account. This application can work up to a 200 meter radius from the vehicle.
Welfare Monitoring
Welfare checks can be set up using any cellular telephone to send a preset message to CODE 9s monitoring centre via the cellular network. This application is customized within CODE 9s software; if the welfare check is not received within a predetermined time then an
alarm would be created for operator attention.
